About Tezi
Tezi is pioneering “Max,” an autonomous AI recruiting agent transforming recruitment by automating sourcing, screening, scheduling, and candidate communication. Max frees hiring teams from repetitive tasks, accelerates the hiring process, enhances candidate experiences, and adheres to enterprise-grade security and bias mitigation standards. Founded by a team with extensive experience in hiring, technology, and artificial intelligence, Tezi is reshaping how companies build exceptional teams.
How We Work
- Meticulously designed: A founding team that has collectively hired 750+ employees designed every interaction along the entire hiring journey.
- Committed to calm: We work smart and hard, but chaos, thrash, and drama are inefficient and slow.
- We’re all grown-ups: We all like to operate in a culture of trust, freedom, responsibility, and autonomy. That requires us to act like mature, wise adults in all matters.
- Judgment, over process: We don’t have the time and can’t afford unnecessary processes. Unless it helps us build faster, less process is better.
- The best ideas win: We encourage critical thinking, dissent, and candor. The right answer needs to win out over whoever’s just loud, vocal, powerful, or charming.
About the Role
We’re seeking a senior operations leader to define and execute operational processes across Finance, People, Marketing, Facilities, and Compliance. As the first Member of Operations Staff, you'll serve as the operational backbone that enables our team to focus on growth and innovation. You will report to our Co-Founder & COO, working cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, and Marketing teams.
Note: Tezi gets together in person for a week out of every 7-8 weeks. The “IRL Weeks” happen in Menlo Park, CA. During the rest of the weeks, our team executes from home or wherever else works for them.
Responsibilities
- Financial Ops: Run accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, reimbursements, and expense management.
- People Ops: Lead and facilitate contracting, onboarding, and offboarding processes. Administer benefits and compensation.
- Marketing Ops: Handle logistics for partner & community events and conferences. Conduct lightweight social media monitoring. Organize and maintain Tezi's marketing CRM.
- Facilities: Organize planning and logistics for in-person team events. Research and manage future office space needs.
- Compliance: Audit, contract, onboard, renew, and offboard vendors and software tools. Oversee state licensing, registrations, and compliance frameworks. Oversee tax compliance and business insurance policies.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in operations within tech startups
- Proven skills managing multiple operational areas simultaneously (finance, HR, events, compliance)
- Exceptional organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to independently manage tasks and proactively address operational issues
- Fluency in using the latest and most relevant AI tools. Can easily explain how you will “do more with less” via AI efficiency gains.
- Superb collaboration, organization, and communication skills
- Thrives in an environment with high ambiguity and little structure
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and figure things out through doing
- Prioritize and execute with urgency; you default to doing the most important things today, not tomorrow
- Eligible to work in the United States; note that Tezi does not offer visa sponsorship at this time
- Willingness to travel semi-regularly for IRL weeks in Menlo Park, CA
- Bonus points for prior experience in any areas where you'd be providing operational support
What We Offer
